Hoping you guys can help me out. I have owned several 3 series BMWs including M3's and do my own repairs......... so far successfully.
I just bought a 330Ci 2004 with these two codes showing. the seller told me they were the Intake and Exhaust cam sensors. I researched here and it seemed like the next step was to just replace both sensors. As soon as I started it I get the SES light and same codes. When I drive, it seems to be related to acceleration. If I go easy it, it runs smooth but seems to lack the normal full power. If I accelerate hard, it suddenly shuts down to a rough idle with no power. I coast off the road and turn it off and restart it and it starts right up and runs with a slight rough idle but lacking full power. I changed the plugs at the same time just because I always go thru the basic stuff when buy a car. I have read about the Vano's seals and wanted to hear if anyone else has had these symptoms. Today when I test drove it, the transmission went into limp mode. I am guessing its because of the engine issue. any input would be appreciated. thanks
