Minor (I hope) issue

Hey guys,nood fro Ga. here.I am tryng to track down a couple leaks on my recently bought 99 323i.I found the power steering leak at the bottom of the reservoir.It seems a couple clamps on the loose hoses has cured that one.My coolant leak is coming from the upper hose.The plastic elbow/hose connection seems brittle and had cracked.I have a new hose,but while wrestling the old one off,I inadvertently broke off the little ''warning tab'' from the coolant res. It doesn't seem to have actuall cracked the tank at all. Any issue there? Thanks,as always for being patient with a new guy.
