M3 cabrio - Dead instrument cluster and car wont start

Hi all.

I have a year 2002 M3 Cabrio - SMG gearbox
Have done ard 50k miles on it.
Was all fine until yesterday, when I started the car, there was no display on the instrument panel, or on the trip computer. The lights would not light up, only the airbag light, the DSC light and the roof light would come on.

The car started fine and then I drove off as i have an OBD reading the speed of the car, it wasnt an issue for me. Everything else was fine, the radio, the lights (Expect I noticed the interior lights flashing), I could hear the SMG gearbox engage and also change gears but no display on the instrument panel.

I drove for around 5miles and stopped to have breakfast.

After I finished breakfast, the instrument cluster still has no response, however the when I turned the key, the car would start up n for half a second and then it would stall, repeated a few times, the car would start and instantly stall. I had to tow the car to the garage.

I have tried the following (Checked the fuse for the instrument cluster, the fuel pump, all was fine), I have tried holding on the gas when starting the car, but it seems that there was no throttle response at all. Checked for codes (There was a code relating to the instrument panel, 2 codes related to the O2 sensor)

All the other electronics worked fine (Did not try the AC and the interior lights kept flashing), The battery seems fine as it read a voltage of 12.5v and the car started fine (It just kept stalling). No works has been done to the car the past 6 months except for an oil change and change of brake discs.

Looked around the forum, seems like no one else has had the same problem as mine. Can anyone help or might have a clue on whats gone wrong?

Thanks a lot!
