G'day fellow e46ers. After 3 wonderful years of only doing maintenance and servicing, my 2003 3 Series Sedan has decided to play up this week.
This is a summary of events:
1. Jump started a Mini Cooper S
2. One day later noticed all instrument gauges not working including cluster
lights, turn signals and air conditioning not blowing cold.
3. Intermittently won't start (cranks all day long but won't fire) but I could
sometimes get it to run after re/re of associated glove box fuses or battery
cable reset.
4. Now won't run at all, battery has lots of juice.
I have used all knowledge of resetting the cluster as mentioned in other posts, static battery reset, checked all fuses in the glove box and under hood/in boot.
Replaced the ignition switch - still same issue
Replaced the ELMOS 10020B IC in the cluster - still same issue
Any help diagnosing the issue would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks e46 mates.
