I'm trying to manually close and lock down my top. I just bought the car and the automatic opening is completely shot so I simply want to close the top manually. Its gets to within 4 inches of the windshield frame and stops. I suspect that the frame was bent at some point but I can't see any bend or jamming parts. I've tried disconnecting the hydrolics that control the last portion of the top locking down. I've also checked the cables under the back seat for tension. They are very loose.
If I try to force the too down I can see that the latches are out of alignment with the holes at the top of the windshield. Anyone know what is going on?
