Hi everyone, stumbled across this site on google and you all seem very knowledgeable and helpful. Im from the UK and have just taken into my possession a 2000 330ci convertible in orient blue. Previous owner didnt pay too much attention to care so im in it deep here, just overhauled the cooling system with new pump, tank, thermostat and a manky pipe which was oozing. Also the camshaft gasket which seemed to be leaking at the far end and dripping down onto the exhaust, i could see using a mirror it was leaking so out with the old and in with the new. Gasket all in place, dry all round and i still have a leak onto the downpipe which has baffled me. Put new plugs and old coil packs back and she ran awful, had fun figuring it out but i think it was just a bad connection on a pack as it dropped a cylinder and threw up engine light. So all in all having a fun time but having changed the oil i now seem to have what was a minor leak from the belly pan into a bad leak. Headache.com. But here she is, worth the hastle though.
