Yes, yes, I know there are a thousand threads out there already. Bear with me. I'm not looking to "slam" my xi, nor am I interested in coilovers. I'm more interested in the difference in xi to standard ride height and what I can gain.
So far here is my understanding. The xi is .67" higher than i suspension on the front and rear. Realistically, if I refresh my suspension, am I going to notice much, if any, difference in handling by lowering my car from awd height to standard height?
I'm currently considering just replacing the stock struts/shocks with Bilstein HD and running the stock springs. If I were to replace the springs, does anyone have a suggestion for a slight drop?
The Eibach and H&R springs both drop the front 1.2" and the rear 1.0", which is a little more than I was hoping for. I live in WI, so I don't really want to toy with ZHP height.
To summarize:
What (if any) handling gain will I see from a drop of .7" on an xi?
Are there any options for springs that lower the car less than the Eibach/H&R options?
