Suddenly, from one day to the next, my FOB stop functioning. I took it to a local auto parts store and pointed it at their FOB signal detector and it produced a signal, but I had to get as close as about a foot away. It seems to me that if the battery finally got too weak, the problem would be more gradual, but even the day before I could activate it from a good distance from the car.
Then I remembered something. Earlier in the day, I tried to lock the doors by pushing the round center button on the fob while it was plugged into the ignition and I was driving. Could that have fried the programming?
There's a link in a previous post that describes programming the fob. It says something about making the LED flash. WHAT LED?
Many thanks!
