So after countless of searches for threads on fixing the trim seal, the majority of people just say to replace it... I refuse however to pay $300+ per side of trim so I took it upon myself to try some universal weatherstrip to see if I could make my own.
Here are the finished results:
First I went to autozone and picked up a universal window gasket which looked like this.
of course it was too big so I tore the top part off
then I coated the inside with contact cement
next I folded it into a tear drop shape, almost pressed flat
after that, I cut out the old rubber pieces with a razor blade, and the just slid and cemented the new rubber piece into place.
Not 100% factory look, but I am pleased with the results for spending under $10.
I did order the lower trim pieces though, they weren't that expensive... I will post pics once those come in.
