Hiya!
Was at the car service today and did routine check to my 318i N42B20. They noticed oil at following places:
- oil pan gasket;
- profile-gasket;
- oil filter / heat exchanger gasket.
Ordered required gaskets and decided to change them my own. As far as I can remember (from changing the chain and guide rails) removing the oil pan was pain in the ass. Since I did it around 3-4 years ago cannot remember precisely how long time it did took.
So questions are:
a) is it worth to do it yourself? can do all of it only during the upcoming Saturday;
b) how ling time approximetaly might it take?
c) is there a DIY guide? tried to google, did not manage to find anything related to it.
Oh, also need to replace the stabilizer. That's easy. And front light reflector (bought new light, going to be quicker).
