Misfire after 10-15 mins run time

99 323i. Whenever I clear codes reins great. Then the Check engine light comes on after about 10 to 15 mins or so. Typically with several misfire codes. I have consistently gotten 4-6 codes, but never the p0302 or calendar 2. There was one time that only calendar 5 popped up. There is 173 ish on the motor as it sits. Changed all the plugs and calendar 6 was cross threaded damnit. The new plug will grip but I havnt gone all the way to snug yet, afraid to strip it all the way! Got a fix a thread kit at the local parts store but am skeptical about using an insert. Let alone having shaving enter the piston and potentially damage the walls. Can I wort a groove into an older plug and retread the head this way instead?

Regardless, after I had run the more towards the aggressive side, I'll get a true misfire you can feel. Seems like one calendar, but I am no professional. Anyways. Clear codes again and boom, back to running like a dream (for a few minutes at least)

Anyone come across this one before? I also have the clicking on startup with a tiny leak coming from the oil filter cap. Somewhere I read about its cause typically being along the air intake route.

Any advise is appreciated at this point. It's my daily driver and can't sit too long.
