Ok so my car is 02 325i e46 non sport suspension with 98k miles. I'm getting the 225 45zr 17 tires today and now struts shocks are the next project.
I'm just looking to get the car to have that BMW glide feel. So I've narrowed it down to a few choices.
First the KYB Excel-G line. I can get all four corners for $260 shipped. Springs would be $225 shipped from bav auto. They say they lower the car and are proformance springs.
Total is $485 shipped.
Question is since these are like proformance/sport springs are they going to kill the KYB's? I also live in Wisconsin is lowering the car smart and will they be ok with the 17" wheels and tires?
The other option is from Bav auto and are the Koni STR.T (orange) kit that includes all four corners and H&R sport springs for $535 shipped.
I have one broken spring in back and I was told that around my milage the springs become "tired" and is good to be changed. Also the mounts will be changed and all the other parts too will be done.
