Alright guys, now that numerous builds are happening, completed or near completed, id like to hear about where people are coming in with weight. Please try and be as specific as possible (fuel amount, driver weight, individual component weights, car model and work done to lighten the car). It seems some guys are able to make weight pretty easy, and others, like myself, are not.
Ill start
2001 coupe
200lbs driver suited
Team dynamics wheels (+20lbs total over 17x9 ARC8)
all tar removed including engine bay firewall and tranny tunnel deadening
Cage is 1.5" OD
Braille 15lb battery
Full tilton lightweight clutch and flywheel (-36lbs over stock :excited:)
Wiring reduction done by my fabricator (not sure what was removed or if more can be removed)
Doors gutted
Have fire 4L fire suppression & small handheld (safety is important)
Car is fully wrapped and interior painted (did the math and the wrap is +6lbs and the paint is about +10lbs)
Spec exhaust and all heat shields removed
Things left to remove or lighten
ebrake
EVAP system
Lighter engine fan
Car went over the scales at around 2960 after a qual event with 3/8 tank fuel (for reference, the cars carry about 114 lbs of fuel at full tank)
