A couple of days ago, one of my best friends, and a big name is the VAG (Volkswagen/Audi/Porsche) community in the midwest and in Minnesota, was involved in a horrific accident in Ohio while doing a parts run for himself and for others back in Minnesota.
He made the sane choice to stop driving Saturday night due to weather and crappy road conditions. Sunday morning, between Maumee, Ohio and Toledo, Ohio he hit a patch of black ice in his truck (91 Dodge dually cummins), spun out and hit a pole.
He was severely injured and had to be cut out of his rig using the jaws of life. Up until yesterday, he was still on life support. Although, no longer on life support, he is still on a ventilator to help him breath.
Sean had a bruised lung, crushed left hand, busted left knee, fractures in both legs, broken left arm, as well as numerous cuts and bruises.
Myself, as well as the car community in the Midwest is rallying behind Sean and his family and trying to help them out any way we can.
Sean is one of the nicest guys you'd meet and would give the shirt off his own back just to help anyone in their time of need.
