Convertible top lid removal (interior piece)

Hello Everyone,



My apologies if this has been posted. I didnt find anything in the search (perhaps its my labeling of the part)



I going to begin removing pieces of my interior to dye this weekend. (or at least hoping to) The weather has been crappy and has given me limited time to look at the piece- id like to just jump right in.



I know how to remove door panels etc. but I did not see anything on this piece





I have the following questions:



How do you remove this from the car?



Once removed- can you separate the (2) pieces, if so how?



Finally, while this piece is off the car, is it safe to put the top back up for the week while i work on the dye?
