question about oil

Im running 0w-30 castrol edge oil in my car at the moment. Before the weather started getting hotter the oil was working great. Now, after driving for a while i start getting this ticking sound coming from the passenger side of the engine. If i turn off the car and let it cool for 20 mins, the ticking sound will go away until it gets hot again. I drive my car hard but always let the car warm up completely before doing so.

Ive checked my oil level when warm and cold and its good. Should i be running a different weight for the summer to compensate for the heat and my heavy foot? What would you recommend?
