So I figured I'd tackle my screwed up sunroof in the garage while waiting for my fuel pump to come in. About a year ago, it got out of alignment and all kinds of cracking noises ensued while attempting to close it back up.
So fast forward to yesterday. Luckily it appears that all the sliding pieces and clips are intact, and the timing or something simply came out of sync. I read about cables breaking out of the cassette so I partially removed the front headliner to take a peek.
Everything seemed okay. So after re-aligning everything and timing the switch, I bolted the motor back up. Now when I try to activate the sunroof a terrible sounding clickclickclickclickclick noise follows. So it appears that the cables are binding and/or not wanting to budge(?) I might be missing something easy here. Anyone care to chime in?
