Plastic ring on power steering line is missing

Hi guys, I'm in process of replacing my power steering lines right now! I looked down and found the rubber plastic ring that you supposed to press down to release the metal clips are missing. They don't look broken, they're totally missing, on both lines!



I halted the job trying to figure out what to do. I don't have a dremel to cut through the line ...any advice would be highly appreciated
