led interior foot well lights

I purchased Phillips X-treme vision led bulbs for mu 2001 325cic and they didn't work. One came on, then when I put the second one in neither worked. checked the fuse and all was fine. took the bulbs out and put back the stock bulbs and all was good. Is there a specific bulb I need to purchase? If so who would stock them? Thanks in advance
