Could it be possible to relocate the CCV to a more convenient location using extra hoses? I mean, it doesn't have to hide under the manifold, right? Being farther from the hot engine might even help it last longer. I ask because I'm pretty sure mine has died already after less than a year of use. And yes, I spent the extra cash on a Genuine Cold-weather version. And yes, I am DREADING the idea of having to replace this thing again, hence my question.
Also, I hear the chewbacca sound, when the car is cold, often BEFORE I start the engine. i.e.: it will make noise when the ignition is in position 2, but not in RUN. Does the air pump trigger this? It will also occasionally yawn momentarily on initial startup as well. I can't think of anything else that would make that sound, but I was under the impression that the chewbacca sound only happened when you introduced a massive air leak (like lifting off the oil cap).
