1st Timer! Interior Waterleak.... but not the usual kind

Hey guys, first time posting here so be kind! :hi:

Car details:

1999 BMW E46 323i



Problem: Not long ago I noticed that after heavy rain or washing the car, id open the drivers door as usual to enter and I notice a puddle of water being built up on the bottom of the door well, not on the door but between the car shell and the door seals, and as soon as I open the door a puddle of water splashes out on the ground as if it is being kept there... (Im talking about the place where you normally see the plastic piece that usually has the "M3" writing on the foot piece

Also my drivers carpet is soaked in water, as well as the rear drivers side passenger carpet (and sometimes the front passenger carpet) so I did a test, poured water in the front drivers moonroof drain hole and saw water drip on to the front drivers carpet, as well as from under the car which it is supposed to drip out of... which explains that (So I guess the carpet wetness is blocked/stuffed sunroof drain holes?)



Lastly I don't understand how water builds up and when I open the door the water splashes out?



Sorry for the noob post, not too familiar with beemer problems haha also wouldn't mind a guide or so which shows how to clean the drain holes? So far I can only see the front drain holes (where are the rears?)
